 On May 30, 2007 @ 5:50pm I lost a friend and
photographers around the world gained an angel.
This angels name is Kirk Prouty.
I would like to believe that on May 30th God was
having a reenactment of the Marriage Feast,
needed A GOOD PHOTOGRAPHER,
so He called Kirk home.

 I pray that all photographers know another
 photographer that has done as much for them
as Kirk did for me, ending with the building of
this web site.
He was my teacher and will always be my friend.

How Fragile Life Is, by Cowboy - Ron Maguire

We get up in the morning and go to work or leave work going to
home, and never think, “Will we be returning,
did we say something nice to the one’s we left at home
or our coworkers”.

In the news every day we read about someone being killed in
a robbery for $20.00, in a plane crash or by a drunk driver and
we just think I’m glad I don’t work in that business,
I’m glad I don’t fly or I live in the country and
we don’t have drunk drivers.

Then you have a friend who comes over to your home for dinner
with your family, leaves with seat belt on is doing everything
right and is hit by a hard rain, is driving slow goes off the road
and into a small ditch, barely hurt the car and
two weeks later he is an angel.

May God give us the courage and wisdom to teach our children
the Ten Commandments,
that cannot be taught to them in our public schools.
The first four deal with Loving God.
And the next six with Loving Your Neighbor as Yourself.

These Commandments are why my friend was at church three
or more times a week and why he helped another photographer
who had just had a back operation or was to computer dumb
to build his own web site.
Having been taught these commandments is the reason why
Kirk was not out committing a robbery or driving drunk,
but instead trying to help a dumb friend build this web site.

Kirk was a man with a curved back who stood taller
than any athlete I know.
